Peter Strickland (1973, Reading, Great Britain) debuted with the suggestive drama Katalin Varga, which won the Silver Bear for outstanding sound design at the 2009 Berlinale. The film was also screened at Karlovy Vary. His next film, Berberian Sound Studio (2012), was a sophisticated, magical, and playful homage to 1970s Italian horror films. He is currently finishing work on the drama The Duke of Burgundy.
