Andy Muschietti

A graduate of Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, ANDY MUSCHIETTI directed several short films (Rosendo, Fierro Chifle and Nostalgia en la Mesa 8) that received awards at festivals including La Habana, Bilbao and Biarritz.  He wrote the full-length plays Todo al Cero and Los Jardines de Abril while working in Argentina as a storyboard artist.

In 1999, Muschietti began his career as a commercial director.  In 2001, Muschietti and director Agustín Berruezo were contracted by a Barcelona production company under the pseudonym Doble Nelson.  In 2003, he founded the production company Toma 78 with his sister, producer Barbara Muschietti.

In 2008, he co-wrote, with Barbara, his third full-length film script, The Yearning, and directed the short film Mamá, which won awards at several film festivals.
