Biografia

Born in Giron, Spain in 1975, Pere Vilà Barceló studied screenwriting at the Centre Calassanç in Barcelona under Joaquim Jordà. He has written screenplays and directed several short films, winning the Elsa Peretti Prize for The Fish of the River Lethe (2005). The following year he made his feature debut with RAILROAD CROSSING, widely shown at international festivals. After several shorts and documentaries, he followed with another feature, THE STONING OF SAINT STEPHEN (2012), shown at the Montreal World Film Festival, and THE MASS GRAVE (2014).
