David Lambert (b. 1974, the Ardennes, Belgium) graduated in Romance languages from the University of Liège. He started out as a playwright, moving on to screenwriting at age 30. For two years he worked on the children’s TV show “Ici Blabla” for RTBF television, then he began collaborating on numerous scripts with French and Belgian directors (e.g. the Belgian film La régate, 2009). His first short film Vivre encore un peu (2009) screened at the Locarno International Film Festival and many others as well, winning a variety of awards. Beyond the Walls, his feature film debut, screened at this year’s Cannes film festival in the Critics’ Week. The director is now working on his second film, I Am Yours.
