Danny Cohen

Danny Cohen, BSC was an Emmy Award nominee as cinematographer, in the Hungary leg of the shoot, of Tom Hooper's celebrated miniseries John Adams. He had previously worked with the director on the acclaimed telefilm Longford, starring Jim Broadbent and Samantha Morton, for which he was a BAFTA Award nominee.
Mr. Cohen was again a BAFTA Award nominee as cinematographer of Stephen Poliakoff's telefilm Joe's Palace. He has also collaborated with the writer/director on the telefilms Capturing Mary, A Real Summer, and, most recently, Glorious 39.
His other features as cinematographer include Christopher Smith's Creep; William Marsh's Dead Babies, Dominic Harari and Teresa Pelegri's Only Human, Annie Griffin's Festival, Adrian Shergold's The Last Hangman (a.k.a. Pierrepoint), and Shane Meadows' Dead Man's Shoes and This Is England; and Warp Films' first production, Christopher Morris' My Wrongs 8245-8249 and 117, which won Mr. Cohen the Kodak Award for Best Cinematography as well as the BAFTA Award for Best Short Film.
He has shot music videos for such bands as Blur, Mull Historical Society, New Order, and (in another collaboration with Warp Films) Arctic Monkeys. He has also shot episodes of the television series Nathan Barley, The Book Group, and Murder in Suburbia; and Julie Anne Robinson's telefilm Coming Down the Mountain.
