It's just a sequel. Bay wants to be even more spectacular, but he's basically just repeating himself. There are even more slow-motion shots, and even more technique, and it almost forgets about the main thing - camaraderie. But the lead duo thankfully saves the day and still has some bright and funny moments to win you over.

Honestly, what intrigued me most about the film is the fact that even though I imagined Hiroshima as a vast area where nothing exists, people proved to be like cockroaches. They can survive pretty much anywhere, although, of course, the conditions are not ideal. It just makes dying a lot more uncomfortable.

I can't help but feel like the film is trying to be exceptional mainly by showcasing a different culture. The story that unfolds isn't particularly exceptional; rather, it's a gathering of themes that have been dissected lately, all piled up without any clear overarching truth to be found.

Another war movie about pilots that you probably won't even remember because it doesn't stand out in any significant way, even though it received an Oscar for special effects. I can't help it, but the standards were quite low this time. It's unnecessarily flashy to be visually pleasing, which didn't sit well with me in relation to this story.

This film is a mundane romance that is still unnecessarily tear-jerking at the end, but it works. It works because there are characters that are simply interesting and well-acted. A successful casting will compel you to watch the film from beginning to end, rooting for the heroes to end up well.

This is actually a film about what boys in an Indian slum do to keep themselves from getting bored. What's great about the film is how it's portrayed realistically and how it just isn't always pleasant. On the other hand, I felt like there was more of an effort towards realism here than towards a truly compelling story that could really engage you, perhaps even emotionally.

James Cagney is a superb actor and can carry this film, but it's the film itself that ultimately drags itself down. It's nothing exceptional, and I actually felt like it was just playing at being groundbreaking. The aerial scenes are passable, but they're not particularly great. Without Cagney's character, the plot isn't even interesting because there's nothing else that drives it forward effectively.

The atmosphere of the film Get Out is its strong point, where some scenes are truly shot so hauntingly uncomfortably that you'll be stunned. The scene with the runner, for example, literally gives me chills. But the real strong element of the film is the performances, especially Daniel Kaluuya and the actors portraying the Armitage household, who deliver incredible performances primarily through facial expressions and emotions. A great experience seen in the movie theater!

It almost looks like some strange romance, and I have to say that I liked the reality show segments the least out of everything. There is a bit of drama here, which has its good moments. It's definitely not a comedy; it's neither here nor there when it comes to humor. But the characters are quite bearable in places and it doesn't have a needlessly pushed happy ending.

Here, nostalgia still prevails, as this is a film that captivated me back in the late 90s, and I fell in love with the characters so wonderfully - meaning entertainingly - portrayed by Smith and Lawrence. It still endures - mainly because I enjoy buddy movies - although Bay's grandiose and melodramatic style is just so apparent and so off-putting here.
