This movie can't possibly entertain even the teenagers it was obviously made for. It's a patchwork film on the level of The Host, which it also resembles in that an otherwise certainly good actress throws away her talent in the lead role. Unfortunately, when there is a stupid script, in the hands of a director without a single idea, neither Chloë Grace Moretz, nor Liev Schreiber, nor anyone, can do anything about it.

The eleventh commandment for viewers of this film might be: "After the fiftieth minute, you'll keep watching." Around that time, the generous biblical prologue ends and the story from the "present" begins, which may not even rely on the Ten Commandments, but which nevertheless offers a very compelling relationship drama. A bold idea that worked out.

When one already knows not to expect any originality, but simply another story about the origin of a superhero, it's a slightly better spectacle. Benedict Cumberbatch is great as expected and his cape’s performance is also excellent. The stunts are top-notch and the action scenes look very fresh and original thanks to them and all the imaginative mirroring, Giacchino's music is one of the best scores ever composed for Marvel, and every now and then there is a good joke (however nothing beat the library theft by the end). But I still insist that Doctor Strange could have been introduced better. Diving straight into the adventure with him and getting to know him as we go along would have been much more to my liking.

A tribute full of admiration for the beauty of nature and the power of love for home and native land. It didn't need a visual accompaniment, but if it did, it would be a shame to listen to it only with eyes closed. "I wish this hell-raising in places where I don't belong was over. Let the lights of the beloved cottages shine, not like buoys in the distance, but in Bethlehem with joy and perseverance."

First of all, I have to say that seeing Nosferatu the Vampire at the Scala in Brno with the absolutely amazing musical accompaniment of Ensemble Marijan was a great experience, and I envy the people of Brno that the student project kinẽma musica was created there and that it is thriving. As far as the film is concerned, sure, it's a rather entertaining film from today's perspective, especially when it comes to the acting of Gustav Von Wangenheim, for example, but it does have moments where all the fun goes by the wayside. For example, Orlok's murder of the ship's crew is an exemplary horror, and the ending with the shadow groping for the door and then for the heart of the beautiful Ellen.

A thrilling spectacle, from which the remake borrowed more than I would have expected and improved it several times. I was also surprised at how brave and brutal this Ben Hur is. Particularly during a naval battle, unprecedented things happen, whether it's a head impaled on a sword or a ram with a slave tied to it. If it weren't for the rambling ending, where the gathering of the legions to help the king is unnecessarily entangled and the reunion with his mother and sister is a bit of a waste, I would have given it five stars.

Kurt Russell did not shave after filming The Hateful Eight - he let his beard grow a little more and embarked on another western. Only he left the vast snow plains and replaced them with sun-hot dusty rocks, perhaps to warm his bones (and actually his scalp). I would have wished it on him even if he hadn't made a great film, but he did. A brilliantly narrated film with interesting characters that you really get attached to, which all the time just knocks, hints, deliberately doesn't show everything and relies mainly on dialogue, only to literally tear off at the end and sink the poor viewer chained to the sofa into it even more. A boldly original film. If you know The Stalking Moon and you liked it, do not hesitate to watch this one.

A hugely entertaining case, Bloody Signature is. In addition to what I liked about the first episode, there's even more investigation, humour and an excellent soundtrack that gives the film a million-dollar atmosphere.

The performances of the title duo and the Russian take on England, which comes off seamlessly and doesn't feel the least bit awkward, are the main assets of this Sherlock Holmes, from which I expected a lot of good and bad and thankfully got only the former. I am satisfied and looking forward to the next episodes.

The amazing Petr Nárožný plays at first his typical acute little man with a sense of discipline for everyone and everything, but due to the sudden favor of his young sister-in-law, he gradually melts away, softens... In short, in less than twenty minutes, he performs something that other actors may try to do for an hour and a half, and in vain. It was his endearing performance that made the bachelor's tale, which would otherwise have been mediocre at best (and only marginally interesting once you see the point), a much better spectacle.
