Ant-Man i Osa (2018)

angielski Lots of funny situations just like in the first installment, but this time we also get a whiff of humor at all costs. Perhaps I was expecting the main protagonist to be a little more adult and that the plot would be a little more serious - more fateful (I was much more interested in the story of Hank and Janet than the main story), but this did not happen and by the ending I figured out that something like this might not actually suit Ant-Man. Maybe.

Jurassic World: Upadłe królestwo (2018)

angielski I'm sorry to say that the magic of the previous film (not to mention Spielberg's original) isn't repeated this time. The dinosaurs are great and often enter the scene in a fully horror way, although the strange script makes some of them unadulterated action heroes and because of it, the film definitely has the worst (lamest) finale of the entire series. Chris Pratt is fine, but this time he's a superman rather than the cheeky sympathetic Owen from Jurassic World, the character played by Bryce Dallas Howard has almost nothing to say at all, and (except perhaps for Ted Levine) I probably won't even remember any of the villains... And I consider Jeff Goldblum's bark to be the greatest betrayal. It’s too bad, because the second Jurassic World looks really great, has some really good scenes (the one with the Brachiosaur standing on its hind legs is 100% moving) and thanks to the bombastic music by Michael Giacchino it also sounds great, but the result is quite similar to Jurassic Park III.

Jazda (1994)

angielski I experienced the ride a long time ago on TV before registering on FilmBooster and I didn't want to review it again from my memories. That was a good idea. Yesterday I saw it on the big screen, plus on (in places truly gracefully scratched) 35mm film and from a projector that needed a new reel halfway through the film and required a minute break. It all put together a fantastic atmosphere that simply greatly fit into the carefree story of people going south. The light direction by Svěrák, nice colorful camera by Brabec, music from Buty, freedom, summer, friendship, a good mood... What else do you need?

Dziewczyna i chłopak - wszystko na opak (2010)

angielski An hour and a half of good mood and the sheer joy of watching great young actors and their sunny, simple yet so real story. "You have to look at the whole landscape."

Ciche miejsce (2018)

angielski The second time around (especially with headphones on that can do surround sound), I have nothing to complain about regarding A Quiet Place. A stirring imaginative spectacle with the perfect Emily Blunt, which is not hurt by either the action-filled finale, which I did not particularly like in the movie theatre, nor the ominous music that does not disturb in any way those quiet thrilling scenes, but rather makes them a struggle for life. John Krasinski - the director obviously likes Steven Spielberg and I have nothing against that.

Han Solo: Gwiezdne wojny - Historie (2018)

angielski “I hate you." - “I know." Solo is a great pleasure especially for familiarized fans, but I think even a complete Star Wars layman can take some things from it. It is primarily a fun adventure film (in places there is MAYBE a little too much humor, but it never exceeds a healthy measure) with the excellent Alden Ehrenreich, who did great at an almost impossible task - he acts more or less his way, he borrowed only some of those gestures and smirks from Harrison Ford, not particularly imitating him, and yet, he is Solo. The direction by Ron Howard is fine, the story is not stupid and has a lot of surprises up its sleeve, including the return of one very familiar character (but with the character’s return, people might be saying: What? How? Why?), and John Powell literally did an amazing job. With the help of John Williams (he also added a new main theme) he composed a great soundtrack that I'll enjoy listening to just like Williams' Star Wars albums or Giacchino's Rogue One.

Rick i Morty (2013) (serial)

angielski The random viewer may not feel this way, but Rick and Morty, apart from the incredible imagination crossed with audacity and 100% vulgarity, impressed me mainly by the fact that the show wasn’t just about all this. The series dealt with quite serious problems, a number of parts had an unexpectedly harsh message (which, of course, the point or scene after the end credits brought down right away, but that doesn't change anything), the characters evolved and the plot built on itself, which was very admirable. From my point of view, the last episode of the second series and the first episode of the third were probably the best, but I would hate to forget about the Pickle Rick... And many others.

Deadpool 2 (2018)

angielski I liked it more than the first film because it has less of the simple pubescent cheap humor. Deadpool 2 is incredibly off the rails, it has great teams and opposing players (Josh Brolin is fantastic as Cable, Zazie Beetz will win your heart 100% in the role of Domino), it once again doesn't have problems stirring up believable emotions nor undirected volleys of laughter, there are a lot of unexpected things going on in it (X-Force!!!!) and it's not awkward for even a second. That's great.

Wyspa Psów (2018)

angielski Playfulness at its best. Somewhere in the middle of the film, I found myself getting completely carried away by the beautiful animation, the tons of ideas, the humour, those touching dog eyes and Desplat's music, and not really focusing on the plot, but all the more reason to watch Isle of Dogs again.

Avengers: Wojna bez granic (2018)

angielski The Russos handled Infinity War in the same way as Civil War - with a huge (almost massive) number of characters, each of whom gets space, they dispense humor and emotions with feeling, the action is bombastic, the film doesn't wait for anything at all and it's pushing forward from start to finish... Anybody is sure to be surprised by how well-rendered Thanos is, he was really well done. Dividing it into two films certainly makes sense - not just because there's something to tell, but mostly because after the finale I can't imagine all that will happen in the second instalment and I love waiting for it.
