Świat oczami Cunk

Cunk on XY for the twentieth time, and still bloody funny, no question about it. Brooker manages to again get something funny out of a concept that he himself has battered countless times, and Diana once again sells it incredibly well, but it could use a refresh after all these years. On the other hand, if every episode continues to contain more than one turn, snark and joke that sticks in the memory, then why am I complaining when I know I won't miss the next Philomena either. After diving into this miniseries, I'm glad to see that the British can still deliver quality humor. While it may not reach the perfection of Monty Python's Flying Circus (yes, I'm an absolute hardcore fan, but not trying to convert anyone), I still had a thoroughly enjoyable time. As I've mentioned in the reviews for each episode, the last two episodes managed to push me out of my comfort zone at times (and I don't mean that as criticism). Philomena Cunk is truly a one-of-a-kind character, and Diane Morgan was the perfect choice to bring her to life. (04.09.2023)
