W pokonywaniu trudności wspierała go jego największa miłość, pierwsza żona Borte. (Monolith)

Again a piece of history this time from Mongolia. The film beautifully captures the life of the Mongols from children to adults and the birth of their greatest warlord Genghis Khan. Filmed believably, there is surprisingly enough action and blood, the pacing is decent and on the plus side it is a revenge drama, my favourite sub-genre. 80%. ()
Surprisingly, it has amazing visuals, it's just a shame about the very crappy script. It's not so much that it doesn't stick too closely to historical facts, but rather that it has nothing to offer. Too little plot and the often ridiculous idealization of the main character makes the film stumble pretty bad. But it's quite nice to watch. ()
This historical film is engaging mainly thanks to the technical workmanship: the breathtaking cinematography, the nice production design and the special effects. But I found the storyline and the script rather boring and raw at times, just uninteresting. And I was a bit disappointed when the final battle was so stripped down. In short, an average film, which impresses mainly because of its audiovisual aspect. ()
