angielski I'm very fond of Tom Clancy, Taylor Sheridan, Michael B. Jordan and actually quite a bit of Stefano Sollima. So I'm taking what eventually came out of Without Remorse pretty hard. Heck, the story has almost nothing to do with the source material, that wouldn’t be a problem in itself, if the film wasn’t as entertaining as watching paint dry. Jordan's pretty good in the badass lead role, and the fairly simple plot with a 90s feel could work under certain circumstances, except... it's just so fucking boring! Sollima shoots everything incredibly static and without any charge or attempt to invent anything. I even suspected him of sabotaging the film at one point, because what was happening on screen just wasn't and perhaps didn't want to be action-packed. Without Remorse doesn't peak or build-up in any way. The film just goes from nowhere to nowhere and basically never gets interesting. A perfectly wasted opportunity for all involved. And a waste of time for the audience. ()

angielski "I’ll show them what a pawn can do to a king." A dull, straightforward VHS B-movie from the nineties, somehow pulled off by the uncompromisingly stubborn Jordan, Sollim's coolly detached direction and clear, uncluttered action. ()

angielski Stefano Sollima and Taylor Sheridan are a proven duo, but my expectations were definitely higher. The action-packed April duel is easily won by Nobody. Without Remorse is a technically precise action spy thriller with excellent an performance by Michael B. Jordan, fantastic camera work, solid music, decent pacing, and a rather dark atmosphere. Unfortunately, the action did not captivate me. Firstly, I had a feeling that it is not R-rated, so forget about bloody headshots, and the promised stealth action was also hardly present. It lacks intensity, and the fights are mostly very short. On the other hand, there is quite a bit of action, so boredom is not a threat, and the entertainment is definitely above average, but there is nothing specifically memorable about it. 6/10. ()

angielski It’s hard to hide my disappointment. You have a star-studded creative team, and the result is a mediocre and corny Seagal movie from the nineties? Sollima offers merely easy-to-follow action, but it’s slow and uninteresting, lacking a single memorable moment. So poor Michael Jordan ends up having to carry the whole movie on his shoulders, but has nothing to act because Sheridan’s screenplay doesn’t allow him to plunge into the psyche of a man who lost everything. It lacks the solitude and even the suffering quickly dissipates. I’d be interested how much (or little) this version has to do with the original book. P.S.: Willem Dafoe was better than John Clark. angielski Surprisingly disjointed action flick. At times the very ambitiously conceived action scenes with great visual effects and stunt work are brought to their knees by a cruelly clichéd script that should be about real characters and their motivations in the real world, but instead tells a tale of pseudo-spies and implausible bad guys. So, although it all makes some sense in the end, hardly anyone will want to see this, some great moments notwithstanding, rather austere, dark and too straightforward action movie, where the commando leader has to be black and female to make it all fair, more than once. angielski A very good espionage genre flick that may be more of a political/conspiracy film, at the expense of the action, but it isn't short on great characters and a decent dose of suspense. It then gives the viewer an appealing wink in the end and opens the door to another potentially interesting universe in the world of espionage. To be fair, Taylor Sheridan has written better scripts; still, it's enough to make it decently above average for the genre. [65%] ()
