Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) wiedzie nie najgorsze życie. Jest popularnym i lubianym reporterem lokalnej stacji telewizyjnej, a do tego ma uroczą, kochającą dziewczynę (Jennifer Aniston). A jednak nadal uważa, że los traktuje go niesprawiedliwie. Po wyjątkowo fatalnym dniu z gniewem stwierdza, że Bóg zrujnował mu życie i źle zarządza światem! Bóg (Morgan Freeman) postanawia wysłuchać skarg Bruce'a... i obdarza go wszystkimi swoimi mocami, by sprawdzić, czy on lepiej sobie poradzi w roli Wszechmogącego! (CDP.pl)

The first half of Bruce Almighty has a few good jokes and Jim Carrey puts on a great show, but the second half is just another bogus and sentimental morality tale for the naïve American mainstream. ()
The first half is fast-paced, funny and entertaining, I had a great time. But from the moment Bruce starts dealing with his emotional issues, the whole movie goes to hell. In the second half the screenwriter seems to have run out of ideas, the plot moves forward at a snail's pace and Bruce's clarification of his relationship with his partner is almost unbearable due to the level of sentimentality. But looking at the fantastic box office, I guess that's exactly what Americans want. Nothing for me. Oh, and one more thing, Jennifer Aniston, recently named The World's No.1 Celebrity, is a terrible actress. ()
If it weren't so family oriented and if there were more humor, it could have been a really funny movie. Like this it is for everyone, but ultimately for no one. But even in this politically correct form, it's good fun with some great gags and the great Carrey/Freeman duo. It’s just that the potential could have been exploited a little more, or a lot more. ()
