A tip for a new historical series! For those who are tired of Vikings and Barbarians, Hernán offers a look at Hernán Cortéz, the Spanish conquistador who conquered the Aztec Empire. It’s a nicely made exotic series with well written characters (Hernán and the Indian woman are great), a beautiful setting (the Aztec pyramids), nice music, decent battles, nothing epic but at least they are there, and there are also two story lines from the present and the past that are told simultaneously. It's confusing at first, but you can get used to it. Enjoyable mostly because of the setting and Mayan culture. Story****, Action***, Humor>No, Violence***, Entertainment****, Music****, Visual****, Atmosphere****, Suspense***. 7.5/10.
