Opisy(1)
Krótki animowany film czeskiego mistrza kina Jana Švankmajera w ironiczny sposób komentuje ludzką żarłoczność i przemijalność życia. Nasz stosunek do jedzenia przedstawiony zostaje w trzech historiach, zbudowanych wokół posiłków: śniadania, obiadu i kolacji. (Kino na hranici)

Disgust versus excellent twists, grotesquery and absurdity versus Jan Kraus. In other words, a decent breakfast, a tasty lunch, and an unfinished dinner. And for a long time, my farewell to Jan Švankmajer, who only speaks to me from a very great distance. ()
Jan Švankmajer has directed plenty of outstanding short films, but Food is my favorite among all those marvelous whimsies. I have a very personal relationship with food; consuming it is my second favorite activity. This film is not only a geyser of imagination and delightful scenes but also a venomous satire on consumerist lifestyles. There's not a single unnecessary scene or shot; it's an original concept with brilliant artistry and animation. Švankmajer has crafted a masterful film that belongs in the top ranks of animated works. Overall impression: 100%. ()
Jan Švankmajer once again demonstrates that his font of ideas is nowhere near drying up. I wouldn't have had any of the food he served up here, but I had a great time. Mostly probably at lunch with Jan Kraus, although all the dishes were almost too "nutritious" for my taste. (100%) ()
