Wszyscy moi przyjaciele nie żyją

If you’re between 13 and 17 and your brain is between your legs, this new Polish comedy that can be summed up with the words “wine, women, music, and blood” could be your “film of the year”. For everyone else, it’ll be a harmless funny mixed bag, good to kill the boredom. In any case, Netflix hit the bullseye, this is ideal for their teenage target group – it’s stupid and that’s why they’ll love it. There’s one thing I’d love to know, though: how many rounds do the weapons used in this film can realistically fit. (05.02.2021)

This is excellent!! It's a bit of a mix between Project X and Wild Tales, but with a much sharper and denser resolution. We are introduces us to two detectives who enter a house full of corpses, and we immediately follow the events that preceded it. It starts off as a very wild New Year's party, full of alcohol and sex (maybe in every room!), beautiful Polish women, a decent amount of humor (nymphomaniacs and a Mexican who loses faith in God top it off), a beautiful colorful scene, and then a series of crazy events, unwanted deaths, false accusations, everyone starts digging deeper, and it builds up to a 15-minute intense teen massacre, which pleasantly surprised me. You don't see someone ripping off silicone implants with a baseball bat every day. For me, it's a fun and wild time in Poland. Drama/comedy/thriller. Yes, it was all there (I might even add romance). If the filmmakers’ goal was to make me have a good time, then mission accomplished. I’m still chuckling as I’m writing this. I love quality black humor anytime, and there was plenty of it here. Plus, I was once again convinced that there is no shortage of women in Poland who don't make my eyes bleed and that money laundering is not just an empty expression. (27.06.2021)
