I didn't expect that. So many good moments and actors drowned in such a bland story... And also directed by Bryan Singer. If only he'd made a standalone movie with the (totally awesome) Weapon X instead of this hastily cobbled together sequel that shouldn't even be compared to the first two or Days of Future Past..... Oh dear. The villain sucks, the plot has almost no overlap and the relationships between the characters are hardly interesting (yet that's what I've always enjoyed most about X-Men) and the whole thing is mostly a parade of gimmicks interspersed with something worth mentioning here and there. I was downright bored by the multi-destructive ending, and I'm actually disappointed to the point of being angry at how they managed to dilute the already diluted X-Men cinematic universe even more.

A very good psychological drama with some amazing scenes (in addition to the robbery, of course, the nerve-wracking ending with the horse and everything that comes after), an excellent performance by Tippi Hedren and a 100% romantic score by Bernard Herrmann. But if Marnie had been some 20 minutes shorter, I would have rated it even better.

A weaker comedy by Martin Fritz, whose final twist is really too much and its unbelievability must have surprised everyone. What precedes it, however, can be watched without much harm and the credit for that goes mainly to the very sympathetic Truda Grosslichtová, Oldřich Nový and his “Na děvče mi nesahej" and also the 100% reliable Václav Trégl.

A western comedy that is a bit long and whose story won't surprise anyone who has seen even one Terrence Hill movie, but it is still enjoyable. However, the humor is mainly provided by the original dubbing with Vladimír Brabec in the main role - with the new dubbing (even in the original version with subtitles) it is not like that at all.

While nothing beats the opening climactic scene (which I suspect was directed by Guillermo del Toro himself) for creepiness, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is still a decent horror film with good atmosphere and excellent music. It is spoiled only by a few incomprehensible situations, such as this one: something really unexpected and really bad happens to someone, the police come to investigate, leave, and from then on everyone doesn't care how or why it could have happened to that person.

I've long wished someone had filmed Bryan Talbot's divine comic “Grandville", and Zootopia is close to my idea of what it should be like. It's a wonderfully imaginative cartoon from a thoughtful setting, with a story almost like a comedy crime story for adults (48 Hours, The Last Boy Scout, Midnight Run...), sympathetic characters and the best parody of The Godfather I've ever seen. I must also praise the Czech dubbing with new and precisely fitting voices.

An amazing performance by Henry Fonda – the fear in his eyes is palpable. And of course Hitchcock's very suggestive direction with many novel ideas highlights this.

Countess Dracula is a very dark fairy tale with an atmosphere like The Brothers Grimm, which occasionally slips into romance like a soap opera, from which it is always rescued in time by some murder, some exposed breast or at least some intrigue. Nothing more, nothing less. Just another B-movie from the Hammer studio, which is duly proud of its origins.

Disastrous dubbing, in which the actors, with the exception of Alois Švehlík and Karel Heřmánek, do not even try to give any performances, the vast majority of the sounds disappear, Morricone's music disappears as well, and tense scenes, such as the opening one, turn into a pathetic farce that arouses maximum ridicule. That's how Czech Television offered us this spaghetti western, which will probably be better in the original version. Although I'm not a big fan of downloading movies, this kind of shoddy work just makes me do it. Bleh, bleh, bleh!

A good adventure-drama with the excellent duo of Lino Ventura and Hardy Krüger (the other members of the gang, including Charles Aznavour, are a bit excessive, but they also have their moments). The only things that spoiled it for me was the sometimes inappropriately jubilant musical accompaniment, almost in the style of The Seventh Company Has Been Found, and the ending, from which more could have been squeezed if it hadn't been so fast and cut-off. That’s too bad. At least the much-maligned dubbing didn't bother me at all. I think Martin Stránský managed Ventura.
